More than 10 million people worldwide live with Parkinson’s. Each individual is affected by the condition differently, making it extremely difficult to find a universal treatment suitable for everyone.
The “Tremors vs. Tremors” project focuses on seeking an alternative way to manage the individual nature of Parkinson’s.

The tremors were transformed from raw data into a musical element that affects the instruments in each song. The melody was based on the participants’ musical preferences and the lyrics were inspired by their life stories, reflecting the unique way in which each participant is dealing with their diagnosis.
“We created something very special and unique for the participants and still enjoyable for everyone who listens to the tracks.”
Wonder Bettin
Senior Audio Producer

The reactions of the participants were as individual as their symptoms. Through music and science, Steph, John, Kuhan, Clare and Prakash were able to experience their Parkinson’s in a new way. The project helped them accept their condition while providing a new way to calm both their symptoms and mood.

The “Tremors vs. Tremors” project not only shines a light on the need for a more holistic approach to Parkinson’s but also opens the door to other projects aiming to go beyond traditional treatments.
“Our hope is that this project will inspire patients, people caring for Parkinson's, and researchers to take some of this work further.”
